Feature Artist | Farmboy Fine Arts

I have had the honor of working with FBFA for at least 6 years now. I have seen them grow from a boutique art and design company to an international art consultancy firm. Farmboy Fine Arts is a Vancouver-based company that cultivates site-specific art collections for the hospitality, healthcare and corporate sectors. Constantly overwhelmed by their innovative design style, I am so proud to work with this team of incredibly genuine and talented people! Licensing my images with them has allowed me to showcase my work in literally hundreds of hotels around the world, something I am so grateful for!

All the way to Abu Dhabi

In Farmboy's latest newsletter, I saw some of my work featured at the Crowne Plaza in Abu Dhabi. More often than not, we don't get to see the finished product, and it's always exciting to see which images are chosen, how they are displayed, and where in the world they end up. I've worked with Farmboy for over five years now. They continue to blow me away with their innovative, cutting edge design style. Put simply, Farmboy rocks.

Featured FBFA Artist!

Farmboy Fine Arts is an incredible design company based here in Vancouver. They do site specific custom artwork in hospitality, corporate, retail and health care environments worldwide. What makes FBFA such a great company is that they are made up of really great people. I am proud to work with them and proud to know them!

"Over the years, I kept coming back to photography. It grounded me, it centered me, it continually helped me see and appreciate the things we often overlook. I have become an observer: one of nature, of emotion, of movements, of lines, of life. As I go about my days, in my own backyard or on the other side of the world, I am filled with complete awe and appreciation for what surrounds me. Everyday,I feel blessed to be doing what I love.

I'm almost 30 and yet feel life is just beginning. I am thankful of where I came from and excited for where I am going. I love my job, travel and spontaneity. Laughter is one of my favourite sounds. There is nothing like the smell of black coffee and good legs on a glass of wine. Where the mountains meet the ocean will always be home to me.

I like to photograph that which gets overlooked, or the everyday in such a way it warrants appreciation again. I like to open eyes, to inspire, just as my viewfinder does for me."

Farmboy Fine Arts on Fire!

Farmboy rocks. I have had the pleasure of working with their team for a couple of years now, and every part of the relationship has been a joy. Not only is each and every one of them talented, passionate and funny, but they are genuinely fantastic people all around. Farmboy Fine Arts is an integrated art and design company that develops site-specific artwork and design objects for hospitality, healthcare, retail, casinos and corporate environments. But this isn’t the half of it! They are constantly coming up with fresh, innovative design products and ideas, always pushing the envelope, and challenging themselves and the world they are immersed in. My part in all of this is simple: I license my images for their use in all these crazy, beautiful, and inspiring ways. I get my images put in places I’d never dream, and used in ways I’d never imagine. This relationship encourages me to take photos when I don’t want to (this is a good thing), take photos in ways I wouldn’t normally (also a very good thing), and push me to be a better photographer, and more importantly, a better person.
Recently, Todd Towers, founder and president, was named a Recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 for 2007. This is a first in the history of the program that a leader in the art and design field has been recognized for the award. Canada's Top 40 Under 40 is a prestigious national award program, which annually honors 40 Canadians in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors under the age of 40. In typical Farmboy fashion, when I congratulated Todd on this achievement, he replies with, “It was both humbling and super exciting to be a part of this years top 40. I am super proud of our team at FBFA and especially the Tim's (*Tim M. and Tim G.), as it would not be possible without them.”
