The details were incredible... tea infused cocktails (thank you Lauren!), absinthe infused marshmallows, teapots and teacups galore... Tyson and Lena created a truly spectacular party in their usual style we are coming to know and love.

The second part of the shoot heated up a bit when we headed to Salt Tasting Room and then on the Ginger 62. I have to give props to Barry at Giner... talk about going out of your way on your night off! A huge thanks to everyone involved including Colin Bazant and Geoff of Blue Pencil Productions.
Tyson and Lena wanted their shoot to be about what they love to do together... and a large part of that includes enjoying good food and drinks at their favorite places around the city. This idea posed a few difficulties, but with the number of friends and contacts that went out of their way to make it happen... well, they made it happen!

Last weekend I ventured out to Fort Langely for a photoshoot with Stu and Lindsay. It was the warmest day in a long time and we had so much fun. Together over 6 years, they are tying the knot this September... such a gorgeous couple, thanks for the great day! xoxo

The day before the wedding, I met up with Shaun and Kim to have a short session. It's important to feel comfortable in front of the camera and in return, for me to get a sense of their boundaries. There were so many great places to shoot around Playa Del Carmen, but with the heat, we decided to keep it short. They are such a beautiful couple with a love that shines through in each look, in every touch,... yup, tomorrow's wedding is going to be a cinch! Can't wait... xoxo

Kim, you are stunning!
I’ve known Cristi since first year at SFU. She sat across from me in a biology tutorial, and I couldn’t help but stare at her. Her beauty was soft, yet exotic… she was stunning. I soon found out that she was not only beautiful, but one of the most intelligent, caring, loyal and giving people I’ve yet to meet. We went through the Science program together, helping each other with calculus exams and chemistry labs, heartache and heart break, laughter and tears, exhaustion and fears. She was with me then and she is with me now. Always.
Tomorrow she is to be married to a great man. No longer the girl sitting across from me in university, she is now a radiant women ready to marry.

Angela and Thom met in class at University in Ottawa. But technically, they met two years before when Angela posted a notice to sublet her apartment while she went to Belgium. Thom was volunteering at the Olympics in Greece at the time, planning on moving to Ottawa from Calgary, and noticed Angela's very Greek last name. He contacted her with hopes of learning more about the Greek community in Ottawa, areas to live, etc... but Angela didn't have the time to show anyone around, she was off to Belgium! Fast forward two years, and the first day of class everyone is introducing themselves. Angela announced her name, stating her return from Belgium, and Thom's ears rang in recognition. After class he introduced himself (as that guy she brushed off two years earlier!) and they became fast friends, and soon were inseparable.
Angela and Thom are getting married on Sunday. Angela flew in early to spend time with her family and take care of wedding details, so they hadn't seen each other for a month! I think they were grateful for this last minute photo session as an excuse to just spend some time together, away from the craziness of last minute wedding details, airport pick-ups, and the demands of family and friends.
I have to say, Angela, you looked absolutely stunning! Legs a mile long and a killer smile, there wasn't one bad shot in there! Your love for each other is so apparent, the way he nuzzles into your neck, the way you laugh with each other... You were both a pleasure to shoot and I cannot wait for Sunday!
