Sam decided 1/1/11 was too perfect to pass up, and thus decided to show her beautiful face. She truly is gorgeous. Congratulations Clarke and Jinky!
Much love... xoxo

One of the best parts about my job is that I get to meet so many amazing people. I can't tell you how much of an honor it is to be invited into someone's world. For this window of time, they open their lives, show me who they are... their joys, their vulnerabilities. There is a moment in every shoot... sometimes it's the way he makes her laugh, or the way they walk together... a tender look as they embrace their child... a moment when she sits with her unborn child and lights the room with her glow... it's the moment I never forget, and that is their gift to me, because I get to see them, unguarded, completely genuine. As a photographer, it's what I strive for every time I pick up the camera.
So, thank you to all my amazing clients that have invited me into their lives, for one afternoon or many times over the course of years. I am a better person for having met you!
Before the holidays, I had the honor of photographing a good friend of mine, Jennifer Scott of A Good Chick to Know. I always love visiting her home, because as you can imagine, with her creative flair, every room could be on the cover of a magazine.
I photographed Jenn and Trevor when pregnant with Sienna last year. Now almost a year and a half old, Sienna is such a cheeky, fun, beautiful girl! And check out her bedroom... only Jenn could make disco balls, reindeer clocks and framed vintage magazines look amazing!
What a beautiful dining room... I love the pattern the light casts on the wall and ceiling.
LOVE the wallpaper!
Let's be honest, not every baby looks perfect when it is newborn. But when I saw baby Alex, I was shocked at just how perfect he actually was. He is beautiful! See for yourself...
Congratulations Les, Claudia and big sister, Maya!
It poured the day before and it poured the day after, but on Saturday, there was barely a cloud in the sky. Fall had begun to leave its mark on the leaves and the vineyards, but the air blew warm and the sun shone bright. It was a spectacular day, but it couldn't touch the beauty of the bride.
I met Stu and Lindsay in April of this year for their engagement session. I love doing these sessions because I get to meet the couple, hear their story and see how they are together. We had a lot of fun, and I knew that their wedding day was going to be amazing because of their love, and because of who they were as individuals.
The wedding was incredible. Made so by all their friends and family that came to celebrate Stu and Lindsay on this beautiful, Fall day...

Over a year ago, I got to photograph Karlene when she was pregnant and then shortly after when the twins were born. This past weekend, I visited the family for Abigail and Kelsa's one year celebration. How amazing to see how the family has grown and evolved! Karlene and Andrew now confident, beaming parents, and Abigail and Kelsa now strong and adventurous girls. What a beautiful family!
I have the honor of photographing this beautiful family every once in a while, and this special occasion happened to coincide with a visit from Grant's mom from New Zealand. We took the kids to a nearby park and a beach, just to explore and have fun. This is why I love my job so much...
Grant and Shannon... so nice to see you again and so lovely to meet your mother! Much love... xoxo
