Every once in a while I get a really fun work request, this 'surprise wedding' being one of them. I met up with Ruth, who explained that they had originally planned to get married in Europe on their holiday, but the logistics weren't working out. So they decided to surprise their guests at their upcoming engagement party at Furry Creek Golf and Country Club and have the ceremony right then and there!
It all went without a hitch. Once the guests had arrived, Ruth disappeared to change into her wedding dress, the staff helped clear tables out of the way, Joe changed his sports jacket for a tux jacket... and voila! The ceremony began! It was short and sweet, but with so much love and emotion. It was perfect.
With limited light, we took off in a couple golf carts to explore the stunning grounds of Furry Creek. The clouds even parted for a sunset!
