A few years ago I spent some time in Australia... quite a wondrous country. I spent most of the time in Noosa, Queensland, along the northeastern coast. It is subtropical, with gorgeous long white beaches, clear turquoise waters, and vegetation ranging from bamboo to eucalyptus to wild grasses. It was truly a paradise.
Each morning the beach was different- different air temperature, wind direction, tide. Some mornings were dead calm with dolphins jumping off the shore. Other days, the beach was littered with ocean debris from the nights' storm or the winds were roaring hard, scouring the land into a moonscape.
Sydney reminded me a lot of Vancouver... in particular the seawall that circles the ocean inlet.
