It's always a risk choosing an October wedding date in Vancouver, but this one paid off. The Fall colors were such a stunning backdrop to this incredibly beautiful day. The great thing about this couple is that even if it was pouring rain, their smiles still would have shone just as bright.

Diana & Stephen | Holy Rosary Wedding

I'm always so excited to shoot at what I feel is Vancouver's most beautiful church, the Holy Rosary Cathedral, and Diana & Stephen's wedding did not disappoint. Throw in a fabulous couple, a group of amazing family and friends, and you get a really amazing day.

Carl & Negar | Soft & Romantic Ballroom Wedding

The day always seems that much more sweet when they call for rain and the sun shines. Dark clouds threatened to move the rooftop ceremony indoors, but at the last moment, they cleared and made way for a dramatic backdrop for the intimate ceremony. The rest of the day followed suit - everything was perfect.

But this day was not only made special by having the sun give its blessing, but moreso by the incredible families that came together. This is the sort of family you want to be adopted into, as it was difficult for me to part ways after just a day of being embraced by them. And then there's Carl and Negar's beautiful love story, one that goes back more than a decade. It truly is a fairytale.

After the great food and the heartfelt speeches came the dancing, and wow, can they dance. I find it's the perfect way to end a great day, capturing joy and passion and people letting go and just having a fabulous time.

To the family that embraced me and made me feel one of their own, I am indebted to you for such a beautiful experience. Carl and Negar, your love story is one of my favorites, and I can't wait to hear about the love and adventures that await you. Much love to you all! xoxo
