Shaun & Meghan | Hornby Island Wedding

Okay, I admit, it's a bit of a trek to get there, but once you breathe in the fresh air of Hornby Island, there is nothing quite like it. Even when it rains. Apple trees and blackberries grow everywhere, rain forests and rocky beaches, arbutus trees and grassy bluffs. It quickly becomes obvious why Shaun and Meghan chose this place for their wedding.

Shaun and Meghan married under an arbor of driftwood and ribbons. In the short ceremony, there were stories and poems, promises and vows, laughter and tears, and of course... so much love. The love amongst the friends and family made the whole day so incredible. The rain couldn't dampen the joy and laughter, the humorous and touching speeches or the dancing that went well into the night. It was truly a beautiful day...

Keith & Alana | Wedding

Keith and Alana were married on a beautiful beach in Maui in the Spring. I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph this stunning couple over the weekend... wedding dress and all.

Alana and Keith, I had so much fun, thank you for being adventurous and patient. Anyone who would scale a fence in her wedding dress is pretty incredible in my books! Wishing you endless days of all that makes you smile... xoxo

I love the softness... the simplicity, yet complexity of this image. It feels like Fall and love and beauty... a moment of magic.

Grace Ormonde Tabletop Shoot | Bella Signature Design

I remember Daniela, of Bella Signature Design, telling us of the difficulties that came up for them in driving from Seattle to create a table for this event. They couldn't bring their flowers up across the border and had to source them out here, being very short on time, it was quite stressful. But they pulled it off. Their table was bright and beautiful with unique details and stunning linens. Her inspiration given by the Grace Ormonde team was a 'cultural wedding', which was made even more perfect with Daniela's ‘modern lush’ design aesthetic.

Big thanks again to Reine for inviting us to shoot alongside her, which is always a fabulous day of learning and laughing.

Grace Ormonde Tabletop Shoot | Colin Upright

This table was very different from the others. Moving over to the Fours Seasons, this was set up in front of the beautiful buddha in the lobby. Designed by Colin Upright, Jace was there to help with all the perfect flowery details. It was all very zen... even Grace said it was one of her favorites!

Grace Ormonde Tabletop Shoot | Hilary Miles

This was another incredible table at the Grace Ormonde Shoot with Reine Mihtla. The current edition is featuring some of Vancouver's top vendors, this table being one of them. The flowers were done by Hilary Miles, the styling by Simon Cooksley. Gorgeous... and that doesn't begin to describe the fragrance coming from this exquisite creation.
